El Arca de la Vida

En las grandes urbes del 2060, se ha consolidado la costumbre de celebrar la mayoría de edad a los 20 años. Este aniversario marca el arribo a una etapa de la vida en la se posee la suficiente madurez como para ser propietario de un Arca de la vida.

Este objeto se ha tornado en uno de los bienes más preciados no sólo porque resguarda la cápsula Thanatos, si no porque llega a representar la identidad de su propietario al ser de los escasos objetos que se confeccionan con técnicas ancestrales para lograr su personalización. Su relevancia es tal, que muchos utilizan el arca para guardar, también, los chips en los que compilan los documentos o legados que los identifiquen, sin embargo, su función primordial sigue siendo el simbolizar el reconocimiento social de las responsabilidades y libertades de cada individuo, y la de contener la cápsula de la eutanasia.

Estas cápsulas son producidas especialmente para cada uno de los ciudadanos, de acuerdo con su ADN, por el Sistema Público de la Eutanasia que además de controlar su producción, atiende los falsos intentos de su ingesta o da seguimiento a quien con certeza y consciencia a hecho uso de su cápsula. Así también, es la institución que regula y registra la producción de todas las arcas pues éstas deben cumplir con ciertas restricciones para ser validadas. Todas deben de tener un candado digital de seguridad que sólo reconoce la huella digital de su propietario, este es el mecanismo con el que se tiene acceso a la cápsula, siempre y cuando sus sensores no registren algún estado alterado físico o emocional.

A su vez, la utilización del candado activa la alarma correspondiente en el Sistema Público de la Eutanasia, donde valorarán la asistencia inmediata de haberse detectado alguna alteración en la persona, o el seguimiento del caso 24 horas después, cuando la fórmula personalizada de cada cápsula haya tenido efecto letal en su propietario.

En cambio, los responsables del diseño y producción del arca son los papás o tutores del iniciado, quienes procuran la elaboración de un objeto cargado de significados, valores y estética particular que les son propios y fundamentales, mientras que, para la sociedad, el Arca de la vida y la cápsula thanatos, son la máxima expresión de libertad individual y responsabilidad social.

This object has become one of the most precious goods, not only because it protects the Thanatos capsule, but because it represents the identity of its owner as it is one of the few objects that are made with ancestral techniques to achieve personalization. Its relevance is such that many people also use the ark to keep the chips in which they compile the documents or legacies that identify them, however, its main two functions remain: it symbolizes the social recognition of the responsibilities and freedoms of each as he or she becomes an adult, and as a container of the euthanasia capsule.

These capsules are specially produced for each of the citizens, according to their DNA, by the Public Euthanasia System which, in addition to controlling its production, attends to the false attempts of its intake or follows up on those who, with certainty and conscience, have made use of their capsule. Also, it is the institution that regulates and registered the production of all the coffers as they must comply with certain restrictions to be validated. All of them must have a digital security lock that only recognizes the fingerprint of its owner; this is the mechanism with which every person has access to its own capsule as long as the sensors do not register any alteration in their physical or emotional state.

Those responsible of the design and production of the ark are the parents or tutors of the initiate, who seek to develop an object charged with meanings, values ​​and the aesthetic that is its own and fundamental representation, while, for society, the Ark of life and the capsule Thanatos, are the maximum expression of individual freedom and social responsibility.
